Today was a day to remember! Yesterday we visited some local markets in Spain and bought water balloons to help us cool off. Today, we decided to use them and played a fun game of Battleship with water balloons. After that, we went to a dodgeball war, which was a great way to relax after several busy days of traveling, concerts, and ministry activities. Later, some of us were able to play volleyball as well. It was truly a blessing to have a day to relax, recharge, and enjoy fellowship together.

Today we had more of a relaxing day, and the team was able to sleep in, do laundry, or play some games together like water balloons. We had paella for lunch, a Spanish dish of rice and mixed meats, which has been one of my favorite meals in Spain so far! This evening, there were two concerts the team was involved in, so we split into a Team A and Team B. I was with Team B, along with Elli (a soprano), Carryn (a violinist), and Jonathan (a harpist). I was so thankful for the opportunity to not only accompany my fellow talented musicians but also play some pieces from my masters recital in April. The people were so receptive of the music, and my favorite part of the concert was while I was playing How Great Thou Art – the audience starting quietly singing the words in their language as I played. It is a blessing to know that even with the language barrier, music connects us all, either bringing the unsaved to Christ or encouraging fellow believers in the faith, bringing my mind back to the purpose of this missions trip! We are officially halfway through, and I’m excited to see how the Lord uses each of us throughout the rest of the trip!
